Dean Hunt’s video below makes a claim that made a strong impression on me: success is where the fear is.
Dean starts off this video by explaining how success is not as simple as the age old adage that hard work brings success.
Just because you are working hard does not mean that you are doing the things necessary to create a profitable and successful business.
Certainly hard work is an important factor for success, but many people work hard, so just working hard does not give you much of an edge.
To get better results than most people you need to do what most people are too afraid to do.
When you can do something that your competition is afraid to do this will give you a serious edge in business.
Conquer your fears and freely pursue the activities that give you the greatest results.
Here are five tips from ZenHabits to help you conquer your fears.
- Realize that everyone is afraid of something.
- You don’t have to overcome your fear all at once.
- Approach your fears as opportunities for growth.
- Be careful how you talk to yourself about what you fear.
- Failure isn’t necessarily the end of the world.
Success is found fastest by those who boldly face their fears. “Be bold, and mighty forces will come to your aid.” ~Basil King
